Fishing Pals
This is a 16 by 20 hyper realistic, watercolor pencil painting on canvas done for a friend. It was very frustrating to paint because the fish has so many dotes on it that it took be a long time to do. It is difficult to get the kind of detail I want when there is so much detail.

WOW sold a Painting.
WOW
Sold this picture to a friend. It is a watercolor pencil painting on canvas. It is an older picture but I took some old ones from the past and put them on Facebook. Got lucky and sold one. Just in time to pay some hospital bills. Being sick is very expensive and I have had to go to the hospital two times in the last two months. I guess this will help to pay them off. I may try to sell a few more.

Here is to you Chief Tommy!
This is a friend of mines little girl. It took me a long time to paint because of all the detail in the piece, Hyperrealism can be very tedious especially when there is a lot of detail. I bartered this picture for a home cooked meal by the famous Tommy Fitzgerald. Chief Tommy does the catering for the Legacy Trust Contest and I entered this year just to taste his cooking. Well Art Prize was fun but I am looking forward to this meal more than the Art Prize process. As is normal for me I continue to paint with water color pencils on canvas.

Hyperrealism
Hyperrealism is considered an advancement of Photorealism by the methods used to create the resulting paintings or sculptures. The term is primarily applied to an independent art movement and art style in the United States and Europe that has developed since the early 2000s.
This is a watercolor pencil painting on canvas. I have recently found out that the paintings I do are called hyperrealism. So here is one I did for a friend.

Cheryl Ruddick
This is a watercolor pencil painting I did for a wonderful friend's granddaughter. She lost her battle with cancer on Christmas day. She was able to see her granddaughter open her first present which was her greatest wish. Cheryl was a loving friend whose only regret was that she would never see her granddaughter grow up. This picture was done for her granddaughter to always remember her grandmother.

Spring Love
This is the collage I did for Legacy Prize competition. It is a competition for individuals with disabilities. The work has five 8x10 Paintings and six 3x5 watercolor pencil paintings on canvas. I call it Spring Love. If I win this competition the work will be entered into the Art Prize competition in Grand Rapids Michigan. I believe it is a picture worth Art Prize I also feel that because of all the politics I will probable not get in. I will be featuring some of the pictures individually in the next few weeks.

Discouragement
I haven't written in a month. That is how long it has been since I got bumped out of the legacy prize by a business man who wants to increase his autistic son's self esteem by asking all his business friends to vote for his son, Never mind that it takes him all of 3 minutes to paint some lines on a page. Never mind that his teacher frequently holds his hand with his paint brush in it. Never mind that it takes me weeks to complete a piece of work. Never mind that I have no more money for supplies. Never mind that I can not compete like a regular person. Never mind that I was one of two people who spent all of the second day and the Art Museum when no one else did. I am so angry. I can find no peace here any more. I am no longer sure I want to paint. I do not sell any pictures. I do not know how to deal with any of this. No selling no material to paint no painting. It will be a while till I find my way back. Sorry all.
