Fishing Pals
This is a 16 by 20 hyper realistic, watercolor pencil painting on canvas done for a friend. It was very frustrating to paint because the fish has so many dotes on it that it took be a long time to do. It is difficult to get the kind of detail I want when there is so much detail.

WOW sold a Painting.
WOW
Sold this picture to a friend. It is a watercolor pencil painting on canvas. It is an older picture but I took some old ones from the past and put them on Facebook. Got lucky and sold one. Just in time to pay some hospital bills. Being sick is very expensive and I have had to go to the hospital two times in the last two months. I guess this will help to pay them off. I may try to sell a few more.

Old friend.
This beautiful old dog died this year and the owner asked me to paint it for a xmas present. It was surprisingly difficult because of the black in the picture. I used a picture as well as looking at my own dog to finish the picture. It is a 16 by 20 watercolor pencil painting on canvas done in a hyperrealism genre.

Hyperrealism the essence of Cullen
This is a watercolor pencil painting on canvas. I take care of this young man two days a week. He brings so much joy to my heart.I will give this painting to his mother for christmas. Here is to you Chief Tommy!
This is a friend of mines little girl. It took me a long time to paint because of all the detail in the piece, Hyperrealism can be very tedious especially when there is a lot of detail. I bartered this picture for a home cooked meal by the famous Tommy Fitzgerald. Chief Tommy does the catering for the Legacy Trust Contest and I entered this year just to taste his cooking. Well Art Prize was fun but I am looking forward to this meal more than the Art Prize process. As is normal for me I continue to paint with water color pencils on canvas.

Hyperrealism: Antique Car.
This is an antique car painted in a hyper realistic way. Hyperrealism is a genre of painting and sculpture resembling a high-resolution photograph. Hyperrealism is considered an advancement of Photorealism by the methods used to create the resulting paintings or sculptures. The term is primarily applied to an independent art movement and art style in the United States and Europe that has developed since the early 1970s.
It was a difficult picture to paint and took over a month. The gentleman that bought it really liked it. It is a hperrealistic watercolor pencil painting on canvas.

So Good
This is a 16X20 watercolor pencil painting done for Legacy Trust Competition. I recently found out that the type of art I product is called Hyper Realistic. Never new it had a name. Hyper Realism means to paint a picture so that it looks like a photo. I was always upset when people would say they thought my paintings looked like photo's. Little did I know it was a compliment. Well this painting won the prize at the Legacy Trust. Legacy will now sponsor me in the 2017 Art Prize in Grand Rapids Michigan. Wow I am so surprised. The name of the painting is "So Good." I will be in the Devos Place down town Grand Rapids.

Cheryl Ruddick
This is a watercolor pencil painting I did for a wonderful friend's granddaughter. She lost her battle with cancer on Christmas day. She was able to see her granddaughter open her first present which was her greatest wish. Cheryl was a loving friend whose only regret was that she would never see her granddaughter grow up. This picture was done for her granddaughter to always remember her grandmother.

Henry Sims
I met this young man in Walmart. His height was amazing. We talked and it turns out he was a player for the Grand Rapids Drive. I painted this picture of him and gave it to him at a meet and greet for the Drive. The next week he received a contract from the Brooklyn Nets. Congratulations Henry Sims. Glad you made it to the NBA!
