I picked up my pencils again

Well after many months I decided to do some painting again.  These are two of the pictures I painted.  Hope you enjoy.  These are watercolor pencil on canvas paintings.  Also my art mentor put some of my paintings in the new art store in Rockford. Michigan.  The name of the gallery is,  ARTengage.  I haven't sold a thing but oh well that's the way it goes.
This is a picture of some friends of mine that got married on groundhog day last year.
This is a picture of a mother and her little girl who passed away after having a lung transplant.

Discouragement

I haven't written in a month.  That is how long it has been since I got bumped out of the legacy prize by a business man who wants to increase his autistic son's self esteem by asking all his business friends to vote for his son,  Never mind that it takes him all of 3 minutes to paint some lines on a page.  Never mind that his teacher frequently holds his hand with his paint brush in it.  Never mind that it takes me weeks to complete a piece of work.  Never mind that I have no more money for supplies.  Never mind that I can not compete like a regular person.  Never mind that I was one of two people who spent all of the second day and the Art Museum when no one else did. I am so angry.  I can find no peace here any more.  I am no longer sure I want to paint.  I do not sell any pictures.  I do not know how to deal with any of this.  No selling no material to paint no painting.  It will be a while till I find my way back.  Sorry all.

ACTion Art Results

Well I am glad to announce that "My OZ" won the peoples choice award for the ACTion Art Contest.  I will be entering the  paintings of the Kids into the Legacy Prize.  Hopefully that work will get into Art Prize.  I hate chasing competition but I really would like to sell some of these paintings.    We will see how it goes.  I wish I was done with this entry process but I keep on hoping.

Mary Freebed Show

It has been awhile.  I have been quit down and did not know if I would continue to compete.  Well I turned the tied and entered 3 pictures into the Mary Freebed Show.  It is a show for individuals that are in some way disabled.  The people who sponsor  the show are great and always make me feel both welcome and appreciated.  They seem to enjoy my work and assure me I am accepted.  I give thanks to God that there are still people like this in the world.
