Spc. DeAngelo Barnell Snow, Art Prize 2011

This is Spc. DeAngelo Barnell Snow. DeAngelo was an exceptional young man who was an artist with drawing, airbrushing, and tattooing. He was also an exceptional dancer. DeAngelo had seven brother and 7 sisters between the families of his mother and father.
Deangelo's father Barnell and 9-year-old Devin were killed in a robbery that had gone bad approximately one year before DeAngelo lost his life. DeAngelo came from Saginaw Michigan. He was killed in Afghanistan on 9/17/2010 at the age of 22. The watercolor pencil painting on canvas portrait can be see from Sept. 21 Through Oct. 9 during Art Prize 2011. The painting will be displayed at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Atrium.

  1. Hi Elaine, You have a pic of my son Lucas Beachnaw in your exhibit for grand rapids art prize. I tried to leave a commet at that site but I dont think it went thru. I appriciate what you are doing and thank you for putting my son in it. I just wish you could have gotten a pic from me. I have lots of them where my son is enjoying his life in uniform. Even though he worked hard to become sargent and the uniform you have him in, he hated wearing it and his hair and eyebrows were not reddish in color. He had blond hair. Thank you for putting my son in you thougts for this event.
